Ski-a-Thon at Song Mountain Feb. 28

(Syracuse, NY – Feb. 1, 2010) With the snow falling many central New Yorkers are strapping on their ski boots and heading to the slopes. And on Feb. 28 snow bunnies can be Snow Angels, skiing for babies with the March of Dimes.

Teaming up with Song Mountain, the March of Dimes is hosting a ski-a-thon from noon to 4 p.m.  Participants who raise at least $75 receive a free half day lift pass for the event.  Enjoy live music, activities and giveaways, including prizes for the top fundraisers.

“This is a new, exciting event which should really connect with our local community and help relieve winter’s ‘cabin fever,’” said Tyler Cagwin, March of Dimes Snow Angels event chairperson. “We always get an abundance of snow, so what better way to enjoy it than being on the slopes and making a difference for local babies at the same time?”

Registration and donation forms can be picked up at Great Northern and Shoppingtown malls at the following dates and times:

· Great Northern Mall – Feb. 6, from 2-4; 4-6; and 6-8 p.m., and Feb. 7, from 1-3 and 3-5 p.m.

· Shoppingtown Mall – Feb. 6, from 2-4; 4-6; and 6-8 p.m., and Feb. 7, from 1-3 and 3-5 p.m.
