State Police Troop T arrest Buffalo man for Possession of Marijuana

(Town of Van Buren, County of Onondaga, NY – January 30, 2010) On Saturday January 30, 2010, at approximately 3:49 pm, Troopers from Troop T Syracuse, observed a 2010 Ford Explorer traveling on Interstate 90 at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop of the vehicle was conducted. An interview of the operator Jason B. Williams, age 30, of Buffalo, NY revealed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A K-9 drug dog was brought to the scene and Mr. Williams admitted he had 10 grams of marijuana hidden on his person. The drugs were secured as evidence and Mr. Williams was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana as well as several vehicle and traffic violations.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Van Buren Court on February 22, 2010, at 7:00 pm.
