Stirpe cancels Cicero Town Hall due to inclement weather thumbnail

(Cicero, NY) Assemblyman Al Stirpe (D-North Syracuse) announced that he is canceling Thursday’s Cicero town hall meeting after The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Onondaga County in effect from 4:00 a.m. Thursday until 7:00 p.m. Friday.

Stirpe’s town hall was scheduled to take place Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion James Harvey Spire Post 787 in Cicero.  Stirpe is encouraging interested Cicero residents to attend one of the upcoming town halls scheduled in March:

Thursday, March 11

6:30-8:30 p.m.

Liverpool High School Annex

4340 Wetzel Rd., Liverpool

Thursday, March 18

7:15-9:00 p.m.

Manlius Village Centre Auditorium

1 Arkie Albanese Ave., Manlius

Citing the Post Office’s unofficial motto, Stirpe said, “In Central New York, the gloom of night often means sustained winds, heavy snowfall and treacherous driving conditions.”

Cicero residents who planned to ask a question at the town hall can email their questions directly to Assemblyman Stirpe at stirpea@assembly.state.ny.us with the subject line “Cicero town hall question.”
