On July 3, at approximately 11:36 pm, sheriff’s deputies responded to a single car crash that claimed the life of Sally Toledo (25), of the Onondaga Nation.

Deputies investigating the crash report that Toledo was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and traveling east on Otisco Road when she drove off the roadway near the intersection of Oak Hill Road. The victim’s car struck a driveway embankment, rolled several times and ejected Toledo from the vehicle before coming to a rest.

Passing motorists pulled up on the scene shortly after the crash occurred and immediately contacted the 911 Center. Toledo was transported to University Hospital by Marcellus Ambulance were she was later pronounced dead.

Deputies report that Toledo was the sole occupant of the vehicle and there were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

Members of the Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Team will conduct the investigation and believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash. Accident investigators will rely on an autopsy and wait for toxicology results for a final determination.

In late February, 2010, the pair broke into a camp on Glen Cove Road on Otisco Lake and caused damage to property in the camp.

They were issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Spafford Court on 05-17-10 at 6PM.
